Welcome

Noble Funerals is amongst the last independent funeral homes that incorporates both a mortuary and a chapel.

We accommodate all funeral services from burials, cremations and repatriations and offer a range of services by a team of professionals with the highest standards in the field. A funeral is a time to honour the life of the deceased.

Our goal is to help families have closure by sending off their loved ones with dignity. We understand that EVERYONE grieves in a different way.

There is no right or wrong way.

Some grieve and struggle with intense and painful emotions and others deal with death by celebrating their loved one’s life. However, that does not mean that they are not grieving. Every funeral should be tailored to the wishes of the grieving family or at the wishes of the deceased. Whatever someone does for the deceased is an act of love as the deceased rely on us to lay them to rest. That is why it is important for someone to be able to honour their loved one’s life the way they think is best, as we are all individuals and the person that we are laying to rest is unique.

As an Australian family owned company we are not dictated by CEOs and shareholders.

Compassion, empathy and respect for the dignity of your departed loved one dictate all aspects of our services. Our aim is to listen to you and allow you to honour your loved one without restrictions.

Noble Funerals will be making a donation to Reverend  Themi’s Paradise 4 Kids Orthodox Mission Sierra Leone, West Africa with every funeral conducted.

PREPAID FUNERALS

Please contact us to assist you in prepaid funerals.

Noble Funerals offers two methods of planning ahead for a funeral, through either a Pre-paid Funeral Plan or a Pre-arranged Funeral Plan.

A Pre-paid Funeral Plan
A Pre-paid Funeral Plan fixes the price of the funeral with your preferred Funeral Director, by allowing you to enter a pre-paid funeral contract. This will fix the cost of the funeral, with no more to pay.
A Pre-arranged Funeral Plan
A Pre-arranged Funeral allows you to put money aside, to contribute towards the costs of future funeral expenses.
Planning ahead for a funeral can have a number of benefits including:

  • You can discuss details with your preferred Funeral Director who can document your wishes.
Have peace of mind knowing that details of a funeral are financially sorted.
  • You may benefit from improved pension entitlements by pre-paying your funeral or investing in a funeral bond.
  • You remove the added planning and financial strain from family and friends at their time of loss.
  • Pre-paying a funeral means there are no more expenses at the time it is required.

PERSONALISED CELEBRATIONS OF LIFE

Every funeral is unique.

FAQs

Ideally contact us first to guide you through the process, at any hour of the day or night.

Hospital

If your loved one has passed away in hospital, usually there is no urgency to remove your loved one, unless the hospital does not have a holding facility for the deceased.

Nursing home

Nursing homes do not have holding facilities for the deceased, so they would ask the family of the deceased to contact the funeral director who will transport the deceased. Before the funeral director can pick up the deceased a doctor must issue a medical death certificate or a nurse can issue a life extinct certificate. However, the practising doctor of the deceased will have to issue the medical death certificate.

Passing away at home

If your loved one passes at home you will have to contact the practising doctor to issue the medical death certificate. If your loved one passes after hours you may wait till the morning to notify the Doctor. If you call the Police and the Police cannot contact the practising Doctor then they will take the deceased to the Coroner. The Coroner will take the necessary steps to contact the practising doctor. If the practising doctor is not comfortable in issuing a medical death certificate then it becomes a coroner's matter whereby the coroner will determine the cause of death either by image scanning or autopsy.

Death caused by unnatural causes

In this instance, the deceased becomes the domain of the coroner who will determine the cause of death.
